We are the premier cricket club in North Norfolk, and one of the oldest in the county. We've been in and around the top level of the domestic county cricket scene since 1891, and have a reputation as a great play to play, watch and enjoy the highest standard of cricket on the Norfolk coast.
We have a vibrant and growing youth scheme, with training for children from 11 to 17, with five ECB-accredited coaches, and we run Colts teams for u-13 and u-15s.
Cromer Cricket Week is one of the oldest in the country, and famous as a great week of sport, both on the field and in the bar.
And our beautiful ground is one of the finest places to while away a sunny Cromer afternoon, watching some high-quality cricket, and perhaps enjoying a quiet drink on the Bank...
From the Chairman
John Graveling
Cricket has been played in Cromer since 1891, or maybe even earlier - Philip Yaxley records Cromer’s Suffield Park School playing in the balmy summer days of the early Edwardian era.
It was in the 1960s when retired Squadron leader Eric Bedwell assembled a side that was to become one of the leading teams in the County, winning a succession of honours. Since then the club has continued to prosper as the only Premier League team in North Norfolk. Now, with a nucleus of young players and an enthusiastic committee, we look forward to further successes as we move into 2008.
However, it is not just winning honours that makes a good club. It is the enjoyment of the game, and the friendships, and memories that derive from that, which are so important. There can be few more enjoyable ways of spending a warm sunny afternoon than sitting on the bank at the Norton Warnes Ground watching the contest between bat and ball; being involved in the banter; and partaking of some much needed refreshment.
At Cromer we welcome all of any age who would like to play, plus visiting teams and spectators - and we hope you all enjoy the cricket here, as so many of us have done over the years.

From the Captain
Tom Davies
Firstly, I would like to welcome everybody to the 2008 cricket season.
The club had a solid year in 2007; unlike the previous three campaigns, league performances were much improved, and instead of fighting relegation the first team were pushing for the Championship for much of the summer, eventually finishing third. The team spirit, added to the enthusasiam of our professional, meant the First XI was (usually!) a pleasure to captain.
Of course, there is always room for improvement, which is why we have made some new signings in the close season. They will not only make the first team a stronger side, but will also strengthen the second team - we are aiming to get them out of Division Three after an encouraging season in 2007, under the wise guidance of Andy Van Gruening. And with a little hard work and effort, combined with some good performances, there is no reason why the First XI can't win our first Premier league title since 2000.
The club did bring home some silverware last year in the Mid Norfolk Sunday League Cup. The Sunday squad was a mixture of some young players and some more senior players, and beat a very strong Norwich team in the final.
The professional again this year is Rayno Arendse, who we are glad to see returning for another season at Cromer. He is top cricketer - and a top man - who brings so much to the club.
As ever we will be concentrating hard on our youth policy, having teams at under 13 and under 15 playing in competitive tournaments. With qualified ECB coaches holding coaching sessions throughout the summer, we will be doing our best to make sure the future of Cromer Cricket Club is a bright one.
Thanks must go to all the sponsors for all their contributions which help provide the equipment and facilities the club needs to compete at the current standard of cricket. Thanks also to the committee members and everybody else whose hard work behind the scenes help the running of the club - without these people we wouldn't survive.
Finally, we can't forget the supporters who come down week in and week out to watch and enjoy the cricket. It is always nice to see the boundary full of people on their deck-chairs enjoying cricket in the sunshine. We look forward to seeing you - and the occassional visitor! at the Norton Warnes very soon.
Tom
